Project Management
Navigating Projects and More: My Journey
I am passionate about bringing order to complexity and turning ideas into reality. My path in project management has been anything but linear. It started out in web production for a big international company. Then I moved into translation project management, where I led a team of five awesome project managers. After that, I worked in multimedia production, which was a totally different world, but we created some awesome and impactful content (see my selected media projects). Later, I stepped in as an interim programme director for degree apprenticeship programme at a university. This patchwork of experiences taught me that project management is about far more than timelines and budgets. It's about getting the right people aligned, understanding what actually matters, and staying flexible when things inevitably shift.
My Project Management DNA
Project management isn't just a past career for me. It is a fundamental part of who I am. While I have completed the Google Professional Certificate in Project Management, my real expertise comes from years of hands-on experience across multiple industries. I may not have a formal PMI certification, but I have developed deep, practical skills through leading teams, managing complex projects, and solving real-world challenges.
These days, I channel my project management expertise into organising international research and educational conferences. You could say I am a bit of an organisation enthusiast (okay, maybe a total planning geek). From carefully managing budgets and strategically negotiating with vendors to coordinating seamless event logistics, I love bringing structure and vision to all projects that I manage. Here is a list of some events and conferences that I have organised:
- LC 2026: Logic Colloquium
- CCC 2025: Continuity, Computability, Constructivity - From Logic to Algorithms
- UK-Ukraine Research Twinning Showcase and Networking 2025
- CCA 2024: Twenty-First International Conference on Computability and Complexity in Analysis
- Agda Implementors' Meeting XXXVIII
- UKICER 2023: The UK and Ireland Computing Education Research (UKICER) conference
- CiE 2022: Computability in Europe - Revolutions and Revelations in Computability
- BCTCS 2022: 38th British Colloquium for Theoretical Computer Science
- BCTCS 2020: 36th British Colloquium for Theoretical Computer Science
- 2nd International Summer School on Proof Theory and Workshop on Proof Theory and its Applications
My experience in project management has been about more than just completing tasks. I love empowering others as well. I have spent years teaching project management and sharing my insights to help people unlock their potential for effective organisation and leadership. Even though my role has changed, my commitment to helping others develop these crucial skills remains as strong as ever.
